Jaws 30th Anniversary Widescreen Edition $5.99 at North Tallahassee Target

As with all Target deals, this is YMMV. I found this deal at a recently opened Target in Tallahassee, FL., so if there are any new ones near you I would check it out.

It was clearly marked and said 'Price Cut, 5.99.' I went to the nearest scanner and sure enough it was. It was the new release 2-disc 30th AE WS with the collectible booklet.

Best of luck to everyone.

EDIT: I already bought this DVD on release day at Best Buy so I did not buy it. Therefore I do not have a receipt or the SKU number. They are out of stock now but I will continue to check periodically during the week.

When did your Target open?

Targets that have opened recently have been having some strange 'price cuts' recently. In the video games area at my Target, Donkey Konga 2 w/bongos and Pikmin 2 can both be found for $14.99 (both have an MSRP of $50).

I actually bought it on release day at BB. I didn't actually buy this one I just found the deal. I'll probably be back through target on Monday so I could just write it down then. You could try calling them and just asking using the name of the DVD (though that can be difficult sometimes).

No such luck! My local Target's price is still $16.99. This is definitely not a deal nationwide.

Like I said, my best guess is that it is only at Targets that recently had a Grand Opening. The only real nationwide Target deals are the ones in the weekly ad.

If the employees are like the ones at my loacl store , if it shows $5.99 they will pause and say "Uhhhhh ..... ummmmm ..... uhhhh .... we don't have any instock " .

Ive found it best to just go do the local check myself for the deal or forget it with target as alerting the employees of a "deal" ends in all the stores employees getting it and me not .

There was one Jaws on the shelf but when you scan it it says, "More in storeroom? Yes." So there should be plenty. Donkey Konga 2 w/Bongos was restocked recently so they have at least 3 or 4 that I saw.

P.S. Make sure you go to the new one on Thomasville Road and not the old one on Apalachee Parkway.

If you can, when you get back, scan the receipt so everyone can see. I don't feel like driving all the way out there on Monday but I will if need be.

Thanks OP. The Target closest to me is only a couple of blocks away, so I'll definitely have to stop by tonight. I don't have high hopes since they seldom have the deals I read about on DVDTalk.

It's $16.99 at my Target. Has ANYONE been able to confirm this anywhere else? If not, someone should close this thread.

$16.99 at the new Target in Brentwood, TN. This Target had the Pikmin 2 deal, and the Donkey Konga 2 (with bongos) deal, although they were out of the DK2.

I guess my theory was incorrect then.

I'm headed back to my Target this afternoon to buy a few copies to sell for cost+shipping. A few people at CAG have claimed some already so let me know if you're interested.

Sorry for getting people's hopes up. I figured it was worth posting to see if more stores had it, but obviously we have determined that is not the case. Once again, forgive me for lost gas and time.

That was very nice of you. Don't mean to sound ungrateful, I just wanted clarification and now that appears to be so. Thanks for the effort; it would have been a very sweet deal.

Just my luck, my Target is out of stock now. Not just on Jaws, but also on Donkey Konga 2 and Pikmin 2.

DrAndonuts, if you bought one (or all) of the copies of Jaws please scan your receipt if you have the ability to do so. I'd love to have more proof than just my word (though that should be enough).

The guy at Target told me they get new shipments each night so I will keep checking. The price is still the same so hopefully I can share the love with some of you guys.
