Pioneer CLD-704 Laserdisc Player?
As a novice to laserdisc, will a universal remote be able to control this player correctly (and also be able to access every laserdisc function)? If so, what is the best remote under $100 to get for this player? Thanks, guys!

All Pioneer laserdisc players worked on the same frequency, so any Pioneer LD remote should be compatible.
Two things to be aware of:
- A jog/shuttle dial is a really nice feature on an LD remote. You'll curse your DVD remote the next time you try to do freeze-frames or slo-mo on that format.
- Although the remotes work on the same frequency, Pioneer sometimes switched from using separate buttons for the Digital/Analog and Left/Right/Stereo audio functions, to using one button that cycles through all of them. You want a remote the matches how your player works. If you get a remote with one audio button but your player does these functions separately, you won't be able to access all of the audio tracks. I don't remember offhand how the D704 is set up, but I believe it's the one-button-for-all type.
