Minor Threat

Okay, I just need advice on purchasing a DVD/VCR combo player or why I shouldn't. The convenience factor is a plus, but I'm also a little concerned with maintenance due to the dual mechanical units. I've seen a few at Best Buy for around $180.00 that have the progressive scan features and all. I guess I'm just looking for advice. I'd like to keep it under $400.00. I'm leaving my computer until tomorrow, so I won't be able to reply to questions.
