Make ANY DVD Player region/code free?

Hey all..

I know that there are MANY dvd player sout there (some real cheap, and some higher-end name-brand ones) that can be hackind into via some key presses that will make them region/code free. Now can that be done to ANY player -- i mean, we may not know how, but do you think that all players are able to be manipulated like that? I have a new Panasonic RP82 and i wanted to know if it could be done. I have seen the RP82's with region/code free and i dont know if it was a software hack, or if they actually played with the parts inside...

Thanks for your help...

Matt

No. Some players, like Sony, are notoriously difficult and require new chips to be installed by someone who knows what they're doing. You also have the PAL-to-NTSC conversion to deal with.

There's a page at www.vcdhelp.com that lists ways to hack particular models of players.
