Cameron Crowe compilation album? (His films)

I was wondering if there is ever a chance of seeing an album with the noteworthy songs from the films of Cameron Crowe. One thing each of his films has is a great soundtrack, and I think a compilation album of music featured in his movies would really be cool and cover a wide array of artists and time periods.
If you were making it, what would you put on it from each film?

I have to agree on this one. Cameron Crowe has the best taste in picking obscure tracks by major artists and effectively using them in his films.

Plus the bastard took two of the songs that would have to be on the soundtrack to my film directing debut (should that ever happen - hardi-har-har). Specifically: "Sweetness Follows" by R.E.M. and "Wild Honey" by U2.

What a bastard. A talented bastard, but a bastard nonetheless.
