The Donte/Dante Frazier (ckleinhrc2) Fraud Thread

If you have traded with Donte/Dante Frazier (or, Gregory Alexander) ckleinhrc2 read this thread:

History:

About two weeks ago (~May 28) ckleinhrc2 posted a trade thread with some very good prices for Box Sets, and the like (i.e. $150 for the Cowboy Bebop Box Set). Many of us sent checks, and many others DVDs + checks for trades he was very eager to make...

He purported to many of us that he sent the DVDs via Media Mail--obviously in an attempt to gain time and scam more people before the complaints started rolling in.

Ckleinhrc2 is a new member (registered last month), but he claimed to be ckleinhrc who is a gold trader, but who has been non-active for the past two years. He claimed that he could not access his old account because he lost his password, and his hotmail account has been de-actived because it remained idle for a long time. Apparently he tricked the moderators as well because his new username was put on the Gold Trader List (I still do not know if the old Ckleinhrc and the new Ckleinhrc2 are the same person).

Who is Donte/Dante Frazier?

Apparently, he cannot spell his own name, but his address is a dorm room at DePaul University:

Donte Frazier
2350 North Clifton Ave
Room 515
Chicago, IL 60614

What you should do if you got scammed:

If you sent a check or money order call the bank and have them stop payment immediately.

Contact the Chicago Post Office at (312) 983-8403 and have them track your package if it was recently sent

If Donte already has your stuff contact him at [email protected] and ask him to return your money/DVDs.

You should also contact the Chicago Police Department and report that Donte/Dante Frazier has committed Mail Fraud.

Donte contacted a few of us and he stupidly said that he will return our stuff, but only if we do not press charges; if we do, he says, he will keep everything.

You can also contact (thanks Hoon, for these numbers):

ResLife Associate Director "Deb" (DePaul Dormitory Dante stays in):
(773) 325-7196

Attorney at DePaul University associated with student affairs, Lisa Anderson (Depaul General Counsel):
(312) 362-8865

Who got scammed?:

I would guess he sold Cowboy Bebop sets to at least five or six people, definitely at least four. And numerous other high-value DVDs including Star Trek Box sets, etc. The list of scamees below is in progress.

Hi, I also had a deal with him for a $154 shipped for a sealed cowboy bebop box set. However I was already to stop it and get it back, as I kept putting off sending the money order to him as I didnt really trust him and was trying to find more info. about him, what I found wasnt too encouraging, and then this came up, so I just been to my post office like the previous day, and Im in Canada so, I was able to get it back

He got me with the Dirty Harry set $45.

I was getting ready to post something about him but thought I'd give him time.

He claimed to have two of these sets, one still available. I bought this from him two weeks ago and yet I noticed that he never took it off his list. I e-mailed him through two different e-mails acting as other buyers interested in this set. He replied to both with the $45 asking price.

Thanks for setting up the thread!

I sent him

all 8 Gasaraki DVDs
& a $70 money order

he was supposed to send me

Kenshin TV series DVDs 1-5 and 8-14

According to the USPS web site he hadn't received it as of yeterday. Dante, if I find out you did receive my DVDs money order and were stupid enough to sign for them, you had better put them back in the mail WITH a tracking number and my shipping charges immediately, if you want to avoid me pressing charges

I sent him a Money Order for ($140) for Star Treg TNG season 1 & 2 sets.

I was able to get in touch with the Chicago Post Office earlier today. They were able to find my envelope via the delivery confirmation number. It was scheduled for delivery today. So the post office is sending it back to me. So i was fortunate although it was still a hassle. i hope everyone get's there stuff back!!

Crap,

Looks like I gotta hassle with pressing fraud charges as well. I supposedly bought Legend: UE and a Dirty Harry Boxset for $55. We were supposed to send at the same time, but it looked at the last minute as if it were going to turn to trade, so i wound up sending first. Damn, i shoulda known when he replied sayiung that he hadn't gotten the check and was holding the DVDs. I gotta send some emails now .

sheesh!

Looks like I'll be cancelling the $34.00 money order for the Akira tin you said was for sale. Good thing it takes a couple days longer for mailing time between Canada and the US.

One has to wonder the mentality of scammers, is it that hard to find a job and make money the honest way? ... Milt C ~ Grimmly

ps. surprise, surprise! My emails are bouncing back.

You didn't ask for a tracking number. I mailed it with Delivery Confirmation to all those who asked for it. You'll get your money soon anyway and There's nothing I can do if you don't believe me.

Donte has just emailed me a tracking number for the DVDs he was returning to me. I will be calling the post office to verify that the number is valid. (A guy on Switchouse who tried to rip me off, sent me a bogus DC number, let's just say that that didn't go over to well with me...)

When the package arrives I'll let everyone know how things worked out, in other words does it have my 2 DVDs, $20 and the extra $5 to cover the postage.

In his email he told me:

"Please let everyone on the board know that I have
mailed off your dvds and that I will return all of
theirs. I don't want this incident to screw up my
future, thanks."

So let's hope he's been scared straight!
