How does this modification affect battery life of the GBA? (Updated on March 14, 2002)

The release model of the Afterburner will include a dimmer switch, so the battery life is completely dependent on the brightness setting you use (which will probably change throughout the life of two batteries). In an effort to improve the Afterburner visually, we did increase the current draw slightly - so at 100% brightness, you are looking at a battery life of 9 hours as opposed to the 10 hours we got from the original prototype.

In any case, the battery life is completely under your control - use whichever setting is right for you in terms of brightness vs. battery life.

That's what I'd like to know. If it is and relies on component inputs or even a coax/cable input, it would make the GBA a travelling pocket Super Nintendo. Can you say "AWESOME"?
