Pretty good week.
I don't often buy new films since not that many good ones come out, and I usually get tv sets and classics + SEs...but this week is really good.
Buying
Brick
Inside Man

Thanks for the really early prices Speedy. Now I know what I can buy

I may get Brick at Target unless Best Buy has a better price. I heard that Shadow of the Collosus gets its price drop *this* week, not next week, so I'd be curious to know the story on that.

Me?

I'd go with featurette DVD if you are into the making of the series.

I found the 24 webisodes interesting but just worth a one time viewing.

Welcome to the Forum dman988!
Thanks for the welcoming speedy.

And Brick comes VERY VERY highly reccomended.
Absolutely the best film I've seen this year, and it's very interesting and unique.
Possibly, unlike any indie I've ever seen. And A Scanner Darkly is pretty good too, but I say definitely check it out speedy.
Did you see Mysterious Skin by any chance?
People say it's similar to that, but I haven't seen it so I can't elaborate.

I saw Brick over a year ago at a pre-screening and I thought that the movie was below average...unless a lot of changes were made since when I saw it, I'd say rent this movie first because you might not like it.

I know OF Mysterious Skin but I never see it when I'm out and about.

Scanner Darkly is on my radar as well.

Thanks for the recommendations.

I totally agree. I loved it and so did a few people that I've talked to about it but I could easily see people hating it.

No problem Speedy.
Alas, I must say the film isn't for all.
I can pretty accurately estimate whether you'd like this.
A few factors must be taken into consideration:
Do you like indie films?
Do you like film-noir?
Do you hate teenage actors?
Do you like unique films that have strange but great cinematography, music, and story?
Would you like a sharp and at times funny film noir with teenagers and drugs?

I'd like to ask if you like insert title of movie then you'll like Brick, but like I said, Brick is like no other and many people will be turned off.
Or you could name me some recent faves of yours (for the heck of it, since it's summer) and I'll tell you if you'll probably like it.

I'll go as far as reccomending the new horror film The Descent since that is awesome horror too. Has anyone seen ads for that?
It's really great. I scored R2 dvd.
All I can say is, if you like horror, you must see the film.

$37.99 isn't bad for Prison Break: S1 but CC has it for $39.99 and Inside man for $2 cheaper than target so I'll guess I'll skip the bonus disk from Target. Wonder what BB will be doing on PB:S1

Oh okay, then I think you'd like Brick.
Brick is far superior to those two, and it's more stylish.
I can say with confidence you'd dig it.

And I must ask, is Prison Break any good people?
It just doesn't seem that interesting, but I know there are now a lot of fans.

According to everyone I know, Prison Break is the bomb.

Highly impausible, but great, great fun.

I can't comment myself because I have no cable and watch all these things on DVD.
