As these disks are usually (always?) listed individually, check the individual listings. I'm sure many of the cliffhanger sets are DVD-R. On the other hand, I bought one of their "Rank Samplers"...

VCI actually came clean recently, but you still have to check their web site. AFAIK individual movies are not marked "DVD-R", but you can at least learn which titles to be careful about....
