I'm starting to agree with this observation. Trump is grasping for anything positive at this point and doesn't recognize failure when it's sucking his orange popsicle stick, looks up and says, "Hello! I'm a failure!".

Failures:

1) Healthcare

2) The Wall

3) Tax Reform

4) Immigration/Sanctuary City reform (just got a major blow from...you guessed it...another federal judge)

These four things have not happened. And I do not consider a plan as reform. I could shoot a plan out my ass just as anyone could. The biggest challenge...is getting it passed, and all I see is excuses and blaming from Republicans...going all the way to the WH.

Voters did their part. They voted. Now Trump and his team need to do their part. The election is OVER. Now it's time to stop talking and start working.

And this stupid Canada Lumber Tariff is just a distraction, making Trump look tough on trade. Which is the most hilarious conclusion I've see from Fox News and other Republican sources.

Trump even said during a clip of the Tough On Canada segment about China that they amazingly were doing ok so China was getting a pass.

How the fuck do they go from currency manipulating, nefarious trade dealing country...to "doing ok".

Guaranteed win for Democrats in 2020 if the following happens:

1) Democrats find somebody other than a corpse to run

2) Democrats stop being idiots and crybaby protesters and do something other than blaming.

Because the latest CNN polls don't show Democrats gaining any ground among their supporters, either. So, I guess if Democrat leaders just ask like normal pious politicians...they might win.

Hillary is pathologically hated by many millions, but yes, I do think she would be polling significantly better than Trump is, simply because she is a competent pol and can speak with articulation. Come on, even hardcore Republicans (of which I assume you are one) have to admit that Trump's presidency thus far has been one extended gaffe. The optics of his presidency are dreadful (verging on the downright cartoonish) and the reality is possibly even worse.

Re: He Said WHAT? The Trump Tweet Thread

I wouldn't call myself a hard core Republican (I may vote Democratic or Independent maybe 30% of the time), and I couldn't get myself to vote for Trump. It was a tricky election since I often base my vote on character, and they were both terrible candidates. Hillary is constantly skirting the law, destroying evidence, etc, and to say that she would have been a good scandal free president is unlikely.

I would say overall, yes, I'm disappointed in much of what Trump has done, mainly with his tweets and also putting Goldman Sachs execs in power positions (although this has been done with previous presidents, and I'm sure Hillary's administration). I'm not sure why there couldn't be some independent qualified candidates that won't corrupt the banking system against us. The banking and trading industries (IMO illegally) steal money from us without providing any benefit with these bad loans and high speed stock trades. I'm mixing things up maybe, but it's disheartening when I read books like the Big Short and Flash Boys and know that they get away with it, and it's not getting better.

If this David Frum Tweet storm hasn't been shared yet, follow the link. It brings joy to my Trump-hating, black little heart.

You go, boy!

Frum's one of the few principled Republicans in this catastrophe.

Well this is going to make interactions between the White House and FBI awkward:

Note, Comey's going to testify before the Senate Intelligence committee on Thursday, so there's a whiff of desperation and intimidation here.

I don't think it's possible to get any more awkward after comparing them to Nazis.

Re: He Said WHAT? The Trump Tweet Thread

If Richard Nixon had made a public statement like that about a witness about to testify about Watergate, Congress would've moved to impeach.

Don't know about that. At least one of Mama Huckabee's kids grew up to be a big pile of dogshit.
