I think you could have a thriving auto industry and universal health care in a relatively awful nation to live in. So I'm not sure those are valid measures of his point.

I can't say whether I agree or disagree with his point, as you haven't really conveyed what he said exactly.

I am guessing he is happy you keep watching. It makes him money. I don't watch, personally. But if Al Franken can become a Senator, I wouldn't be surprised if Glenn Beck could as well.

Ii don't think any particular generation is destroying the nation, I think America's sense of entitlement is destroying the nation. Lots of people buying homes and cars they cannot afford, flat screen TV's iPods, iPhones, rooms full of DVD's etc and living from paycheck to paycheck. Then when something does happen like having a medical emergency they don't have any money and they expect the government to help them out.

I know a woman who has gone on storm chasing trips the last two years at $3000+++ a trip and now she is posting on her Facebook page that she has not had health insurance the last 5 years. WTF!?!?!? If you can spend $3000 on a vacation you can damn well buy your own health insurance.
