The sad part is that an overwhelming majority of his viewers don't know it is a schtick. They believe that he really believes what he says. I blame "reality TV shows". People have lost all ability to discern reality from the highly-edited stuff that passes for reality on TV.

Beck is worse than O'Reilly for talking out of his rectum. Beck claimed that the position of "czar" was started with FDR and that he had "lumber czars". Beck challenged viewers to look it up on google. Well, I did. I found no such references. When I posted to his blog about it, my post was promptly removed.

Chester Davis was Roosevelt's food czar (see here at the St. Petersburg Times.) Roosevelt accepted his previously tendered (and refused) resignation when he balked at Roosevelt's food subsidy scheme.

Just because you don't know them, doesn't mean they never existed.
