It’s rather sad that an elected official would waste his time with such rubbish.

I can just imagine the Congressman and his staff working on that one in his office, they were probably slapping themselves on the back in hysterical laughter thinking they were oh so clever and funny.

Hopefully when he comes up for re-election his opponent will use this clip repeatedly to demonstrate to the voters that while they are hard at work every day just trying to make a living this is how Thad is working for you.

That would be completely difficult, as anybody doing so would be a traitor. Not by giving the speech, mind you, but by joining the Democratic party in the first place!

Thad McCotter is in the House of Representatives, so sadly, not only was this not a fillibuster, but he had to go to the Republican House leadership and reserve time to give that presentation and they had to affirmatively say "Yes, Representative McCotter.
