Anyone see Arnol[d]'s state of the state speech?
Wow what a different governor. He went from "terminator" of spending to "I say build it" and talked of proposing a 222b public works program in the form of bonds.
Personally I think a public works program is WAY overdue in California but until you cut the needless spending while we've already borrowed record amounts (remember the borrowing we just did a couple of years ago? To help climb us out of debt?) and we still have the crappiest bond rating in the country I don't think NOW is the time to spend spend spend. Of course a fair question to ask is.. when is the right time? Roads ARE falling apart and there are more people moving (or running) into the state every year. It was an interesting speech and a much different Governor. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Is he ever going to make another movie?
![]() He would make a great Lincoln in a period piece. The Gettysburg Address might pose a challenge though, "Fowa Scowa and Seven Yeas Ago..."

So a politician gets elected with promises to reduce the size of government, and once in office, proposes to expand government? Wow, that's never happened before!

I'm happy that we have a good governor in the state where I reside.

Everyone who filed a tax return received a tax rebate in Oklahoma. I enjoyed mine.
