bovada.lv

Formerly Bodog. I used Bodog for 5-10 years. They no longer exist in the US, instead bovada.LV has been created. I used my bodog log in on the bovada site and noticed I had a $10 bonus in my account. Time to head to the high roller tables.

Looks like you can deposit with a credit card but there is a 4.9% fee to do so, but they have bonuses.

I pulled out of online betting when I had won $1800 one month, withdrew then lost about $500 the following month. I had never really won or lost more than $100-200 in a month then all of a sudden, i was winning like $70-200 a day, withdrew and the tables totally turned against me. I no longer trusted the site and stopped playing 6-12 months before the govt. shut everyone down.

Anyone using any other websites?

Re: bovada.lv

I guess this thread is as good as any. I just signed up with Bovada, but reviews like yours make me nervous.

Sportsbookreview.com has some interesting things, recommends Legends among others. Anyway the point here is basically Ellsbury's last question...which wasn't answered. So I guess this is a thread bump.

What sites do you guys use and if so how good do you feel about it?

Re: bovada.lv

Bodog was always fine for sports gambling and I definitely did not lose money playing poker, probably made about $2K total and that was just wasting time learning the game playing nickel dime tables for a year or two then finally peaking at the $.50/$1 tables. I just applied the "know when to fold em" philosophy with the whole site as it just seemed fishy. Like I said my best month was probably winning $200 then as I moved up the stakes all of a sudden that month, I could not lose, had like 10 days in a row of $70-200 wins. And not just this time, but it seems like anytime I withdrew my money the site went cold on me. I mean it sounds like a total conspiracy theory but its just what happened to me. Plus with all the scandals and the poker bots out there, who really knows whats what. If a company can find loopholes to bypass U.S. law how trustworthy can they really be.

If you are looking to waste time, improve your game at low stakes poker the site is fine, if you are looking to profit, i wouldn't bet on it.
