Ended up 13th. $35. Last hand:

I was 9th in chips (~90K in chips). Made a sizable raise (1/3 my chip stack) pre-flop with QQ. Only the button called. Flop came out K-x-x. I bet out 1/2 of the remaining chips (pretty much committing to the pot), which got called. At this point, I pretty much figured he had a K. The remaining chips went in on the river. Lost to KT. In retrospect, on the flop, I probably should have either checked (and eventually fold) or gone all-in (hoping to drive him out).

Well, that was a cash game. I sat with $25 and still had around $25 when that happened. For me, that's still in the comfortable range considering the blinds ($0.50/$1). I'd like to start with a minimum 25xBB and maximum 50xBB in NL tables.

That's a lot of work for a $25 profit.

In my world, I'm really starting to get annoyed that Bodog doesn't spread 2/4 and 3/6 6-max limit hold them games. They spread 4/8 but I'm not ready to go that high. I've been destroying the 1/2 6-max games for over a month now and while the steady income is nice ($50-200) per session, depending on session length, I'd like to move up to at least 2/4 but alas, they don't spread it.

Yeah. First place paid out just over $1,000, so the tournament was tempting.

Check this badass flop for me. I've never seen a setup like this before amongst 3 players.

I've heard of 3 people flopping sets at the same time before but this is just strange as we're the only 3 people in the hand.

Is that no limit!!!!!

Strange, to tell you the truth I don't think I've seen that either. Would be cool if 3 others held sets.

Played a sit n go last night at Mansion. Hadn't done one in a while. I was getting absolute shit cards all night. Was playing patiently, and made my moved when I needed to. Ended up in the top 3, and then just dominated from there. Even though I was a bit rusty, it was nice to get back into a game and do well.

If 3 people had two pairs and 3 others had sets on the flop ... then that's an irregular deck (you'll need 5 of each card).

Played some 1/2NL at Venetian the other day. I had heard that they had increased the max to $300, and wanted to check it out, but unfortunately, the raise in the max doesn't go into effect until 1/29, as they are waiting for the table plaques to come in.

Still sat down an played for a few hours. Good action. I perused 22 cash tables they had going to try to scope out which tables I wanted to avoid (it is easier to exclude tables then to pick exactly the one you want to sit at, when it comes to getting called for a seat).

There were a few tables that were bery locals heavy, but most were tourist heavy. Luckily I got my seat in a loosey goosey touristy action table.

Had one guy limp reraise me when I had AA. I cam over the top, and he called. Flop came K high (which I did not like, and he checked to me. I checked behind, as I had a strange feeling on this one. Turn brought a beautful Ace, and he bet out. I raised all in, and he insta called.

I was sure he had KK, but it turned out he had AKs, drawing dead on the river.

Nice little double up (I had him covered). Other then that, no real hands of signifigance. Saw Karina Jett there. She plays in the 2/5 reguarly.

There was a super deep stacked 5/10 NL going on in the Salon with 6-8K pots being standard. One dealer mentioned a 20K and 13K pot that went down over there. Must be nice.

That's a typical play money Poker Stars hand really.

I, of course, just lost 2 sit in goes, 66 vs A3 when the flop is A-high.

Then another when I have K8h and I push on a 9h 7h 5d flop and some stupid fuck calls a big push with Ah 5s.

19 outs twice and I swing and miss twice. Fuck this game.

It's even worse of the play money tables, like I told you. I've never seen so many hands play out the way they do on that site.

Played 1/2NL last night at Venetian for about 5 hours.

For about 3 hours of that, Brandi Rose Hawbaker was at the table. If you don't know who Brandi is, then your're probably better off, but I must admit, it was quite an experience. In summary, she is a semi well known high dollar tournament plsyer. She is young, very attractive, and has, for lack of a better phrase, a "checkered past".

She bummed some smokes from me, and we chatted a little bit. She wasn't feeling well, and had a tough night at the table, but didn't go psycho or anything.

Anyways, it wasn't a winning night for me (lost with AA against KQ), but definately one to remember.

LoL. That I did not. Only thing I backed for Brandi was her need for smokes.

She lost $500 while playing, two full buy ins and one short buy, before leaving. All but one loss was from chasing draws. The other was going all in with 66 preflop (she was short stacked). While we were outside the room puffing, she mentioned that she was not feeling well, and that she was building hwer bankroll back up playing low NL. She also wanted to play in the sat for the $540 at V the next day, but due to busting at the 1/2, would not be able to. There's more, but what's the point. It's just Brandi being Brandi. She was very entertaining at the table, and made it an interesting night.

Forgot to mention that Johnny Chan was in the room too. How the hell could I have mentioned Brandi but forgotten Chan? Well, needless to say, Chan was not at my 1/2NL table, so it was an easy slip.

Took home $125 for the weekend playing in a few home games. Would have been more if I didn't split so many winnings.

I had a hand like that too ... except the flop was a KJJ ... and someone was holding JJ. Lost about $100 in that hand.

Hit up Pachanga a few nights ago. Saddest 2-4 limit game i've ever sat down in. Not as spirit-crushing as 1-2, but I wanted a fun game and wasn't in the mood for a good 4-8 run.

I've never seen a more pathetic table in my life. The players there would call down with almost anything, never raise premium hands, and were so inexperiened as to not even know what a draw was. I flop a gutshot with a flushdraw on a made straight and take down a pot and take home a nice pot (at least, for 2-4), and only get berated as being a bad player. Filling up the pot on the flop with a cap loaded in the chips and the turn gave me the nuts. Top two pair and a made straight called me on the river, as did AK (missed completely). It was interesting to see how going into a lower limit can really expose how many holes are in your play though - such as playing too many hands and not being aggressive with a huge draw.
