I need a digital clock that stays lit overnight in the living room

Family returned the cable box and that's what we used for the time when we were in the living room. Looking for a digital clock that the family can look at over night without having to press any buttons.

Something similar to this, but aren't there any cheaper ones?

https://www.amazon.com/MARATHON-CL03...marathon+clock

Thanks in advance!

I bought this for bedroom and it has been good outside of running a bit fast: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01DE...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The night feature turns on when there is low or no light.

Yeah, the last time we changed our cable boxes, we went from boxes with a digital time display to boxes without any display. Because we got used to having the time there, we replaced it with a cheap digital alarm clock.

Why is your entire family in the living room overnight? Why do they need to know what time it is when they should be asleep?

Wouldn't any alarm clock/radio work? They are less that $10 at Walmart, Target, CVS, etc...

I was thinking the same thing. I've never had a digital clock that the display would turn off completely.

Re: I need a digital clock that stays lit overnight in the living room

I wouldn't get a simple clock, but one of these 2 types:

- A clock that projects the time and outside temperature on the ceiling, so many people can read it without having to get up: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017UFBWKY. There are cheaper models that project time only.

- A clock that lights up in the morning in addition to sounding a wake-up alarm: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MS4YE3P. The light is not extremely bright, maybe equivalent to a 40w or 60w incandescent bulb, but it's enough to encourage you to get up.

I have this on the shelf by the big screen in my mancave. It has a classic POTA/BTTF feel to it.

Some of you guys don't seem to understand the concept that he's looking for something cheap.

The obvious solution is a $10 alarm clock. What fun is that?

Then he shouldn't have come here to ask for advice. We are good at telling other people how to spend their money.

Move your microwave (or stove) into the living room.

Then the government can spy on him.

Maybe just pay a homeless person or a (insert minority here) to stand in the living room and actually announce the time at night.

He's tired of it blinking 12:00. Lost the manual.

The manual didn't even come with it. He should dispute the charge with his credit card company! If there aren't directions, the microwave should be free!

I had to double check the original post to make sure this wasn't a bump from 1998.

I heard some of the fancier models of VCRs have digital clocks built into them.
