Re: Popular stuff you have no clue about.

Almost everything that has been mentioned so far, including Star Wars. I also know nothing about, and have no interest in, cell phones (smartphones, whatever), I-anything. I'm computer-literate, but that's about the extent of my technological prowess. I hate that I know about celebrities. They are irrelevant, but one cannot escape their cultural ubiquity without moving into the wilderness.

Slightly off-topic, but what the hell does "all-American" mean? I'm irritated whenever I hear that term, because it sounds decidedly jingoistic and '50s-era. You never hear, "He's an all-Venezuelan teen", or all-Korean, or all-French, or all-Nigerian, etc.

Not sure why this would be a mystery. She has every quality most men find beautiful in a woman.

You left out drugs. With that factored in it makes perfect sense.

I have no clue about and don't care:
That "Cash me ousside" girl. I have no idea who she is but she pops up all over Facebook. I assume she's a teen thug but have no idea why she's popular

I have no clue about and want to learn more:
Digital copies of movies. I've been meaning to try to to figure this sorcery out for a while, just haven't gotten around to it yet.

I came into the thread ready to reply with this exact answer. It was crazy for a week or 2 and I have no clue what all the memes were referring to. And just like that, it seems to have died. So I'm glad I didn't waste time trying to figure it out.

Same here. In theory, I think I might even have a device that could play them, but the procedure is a riddle veiled in shadows and mystery.

No idea who Remy Ma is, but Nicki Minaj is the big-assed rapper who like having her salad tossed. And that awful "Anaconda" song...

I just happened to catch her on Dr. Phil's show. She's hilarious in that we you can watch her from afar knowing you'll never have to interact with her. I suspect it might be an act by her and her mother to become famous for fifteen minutes, though.

MakeMKV (plus Handbrake if you want to make them smaller). I used to compress for my iPad but now I just leave them full-sized and watch them on my small "2 in 1" laptop and just carry a 1TB portable if I need to switch movies around on the much smaller SSD on the laptop. Awesome for trips and no need to carry another laptop. I don't see the point in ripping them for home consumption other than rentals, which I normally just watch on the computer if I want to watch again.

Re: Popular stuff you have no clue about.

It's funny, I know basically everything that's been mentioned in this thread I'm a bit younger then a lot of folks here at age 34, but then again I'm also on a computer all day and familiar with most pop culture stuff.
