You brushed your teeth. THEN you drank some rum. Do you need to brush again?
It sounds to me like you didn't drink enough rum.

A pic would provide the proof but I'll take his word for it

It would depend on whether or not I was running late in leaving for work.

No. It's the same active ingredient as mouthwash.

This sounds too complicated. I'm already using cachaça as a pre-rinse.

Were you trying to get rid of the alcohol smell or rum taste? I am pretty sure you may have fucked that up.
Man this question is hard... |

I am a little confused here, but that seems to happen quite a but when something involves alcohol.

Sure, but what about the other stuff? Won't it coat your teeth in some way?

Drink more rum. At some point, you won't care if it's coating your teeth.

What Nick said.
It's broken down into sugar in the body, but basically rum is like stronger Listerine.

Re: You brushed your teeth. THEN you drank some rum. Do you need to brush again?
This exact some problem confronted me Saturday evening when I realized post tooth brushing that I still had some bourbon left in my glass. I decided it wasn't worth re-brushing.
BTW, post toothbrush teeth + bourbon = horrible taste in your mouth. |

Rum is made from sugarcane byproducts. So...

Of course you brush your teeth after drinking cum. Ask mgh83.

You know what sucks just as bad? Get your mind out of the gutter first..... But drinking orange juice right after brushing. I must say that is NOT refreshing.

Try having someone else spit it in your mouth, instead.

I wouldn't.

...it's distilled alcohol, like any other liquor.

Re: You brushed your teeth. THEN you drank some rum. Do you need to brush again?
The purpose of brushing your teeth is to get rid of the bacteria that accumulates on the teeth, because it's this bacteria that causes cavities. Once you've brushed your teeth, no matter what you eat or drink, it will still take some time for that bacteria to accumulate enough to make it a problem.
If you are concerned about the smell of alcohol on your breath, my guess is that no amount of brushing will get rid of that. But I hardly ever drink alcohol, so maybe my guess is wrong. The alcohol in mouthwash is there to act as a preservative, to kill any germs that are in the mouthwash. The alcohol concentration in mouthwash is too low to kill the germs in your mouth. |
