Post your off-brand batteries!

Whenever you buy something these days that COMES with batteries, they are usually the most fucked up, 4th rate, shit-lot, cheapo batteries a company can find, with names you've never heard of. You've most certainly never seen an actual package somewhere to purchase more of the same type if so inclined (which you would never be).

With that said, I present to you:

Those are quality ones! I got two "King Kong" AAs with something recently. I'll have to find them for a pic.

Re: Post your off-brand batteries!

I got a couple of those Golden Power batteries with my Toshiba DVD Recorder.

Yeah, it is kind of funny when you buy something that comes with batteries (usually a remote control) and it's a brand you've never heard of, and the first thing you think of is where they came from because you've never seen them in a store. And then you start wondering if they're actually legal to use because they look like they came from Eastern Europe or something.

9v battery received with my guitar tuner -- red design instead of black.

Re: Post your off-brand batteries!

Now I have this craving to go buy some "batteries included" product at Harbor Freight so I can participate in this thread.

So, we can include off-brands you can actually buy somewhere, not just weird shit that comes in "batteries included" stuff?

I've had good luck with Costco's Kirkland brand batteries. Considerably less $ than Energizer or Duracell, but they work and last about as well.

Re: Post your off-brand batteries!

Obviously the branding folks at RadioShack worked hard to come up with a name to stand out from their competition: "Look, guys, just cut "Ener--" off one and "--cell" off the other, and call it a day."

They do work well, though, and they're usually about 25-30% cheaper than the others.
