Pizza Hut Stuffed Crust Pan Pizza - Any Good?

It's not like their regular stuffed crust, it's not really stuffed at all. There's a ring of cheese before the crust, so it's probably not going to stay very hot. The stuffed crust pizza is good for 2 pieces or so before losing the melty texture, but it's good. This is probably a good pizza for reheating in the oven since you can closely monitor the meltyyness.

I still miss their Sicilian Lasagna pizza, that was amazing for Pizza Hut pizza.

Anyone tried this? Any reviews?

I don't get it. What's wrong with actual stuffed crust? Why pile the cheese on the edge of the crust instead of putting it inside?

When your product sucks due to poor corporate culture, 'cheesy'(get it?!?!) gimmicks are all you have.

Ad campaigns and stupid gimmicks, not a decent chain pizza, is what Pizza Hut is about now.

First off. It's not "deep in the crust" it's on the fucking edge..

When you make a regular stuffed crust, you fold the dough over the string cheese.
You can't fold over pan pizza dough because it's supposed to be fluffy, and handling it would smash it --plus pan dough is oily.

...and yet I get suckered in sometimes anyway. My favorite mom-and-pop place stops taking orders around 8:30 PM, and the good places that are open late are kind of a drive, so I'll order from Pizza Hut when my options are limited.

When I tried to order the Stuffed Crust Pan this weekend, they told me they were out (?).

What the hell happened to Pizza Hut? I remember when they first came in my hometown in the 80's, it was a treat to go there. I got take-out there a few years back, and it was the worst pizza in the world. Nobody was in there, and was run by a bunch of morons, as I remember it took about 15 rings for someone to take my order! Needless to say they closed my only Pizza Hut in the area this year.

Yeah, a friend of mine used to manage a Pizza Hut and they would only pull out X amount of crusts at a time to defrost or whatever it is they have to do, and if there is a spike of demand late in the day (or if they've planned poorly) they can fall short on available-to-use crusts. I've actually been to Pizza Hut 2 hours before close and been told "We're out of pizza." Not just a certain type of pizza, but ANY pizza.

Actually, I thought the same thing too. What they are advertising now isn't stuffed at all. It's more like crammed cheese crust pizza.
