Pepsi Changes Their Logo (Coming in 2009)

http://spontcom.blogspot.com/2008/11...gos-again.html

Looks like the writing Coke used on their products in the late 70s. I like it. Seems retro to me. Not a fan of the Mountain Dew or Sierra Mist logos though.

I saw those new Pepsi cans in the store earlier today, so they must be doing it early or something.

Looks like something I'd see on the tail of an airline. And why are they slightly different?

Weird.

Cool 70s style fonts (especially on Mountain Dew) but confusingly similar logos.

I work with a guy who has the Pepsi logo tattooed on him in two places. I wonder what he thinks of all this.

It looks like a tan left boob in a white bikini top or bra to me. I noticed that the Diet versions are have different shape(the white part) compared to the non-diet versions. "Max" being the exception sine it's clearly bigger.

I guess that's just how I roll.

I take it you're leaning more towards the max logo then....?

Max is Kim Kardashian and Diet is one of the Olsen twins.

I liked the logo from the late 80's till now. I guess I'll have to get used to this new futuristic yet retro logo.

The only one I have problem with is the Mountain Dew one. Why do they have to abbreviate everything in this generation? MTN? For the people that go LOL, OMG or WUT?

I agree that the abbreviated Mountain Dew is bad.

I'm sure they have been working on this logo for longer than Obama has had his.

I think the abbreviation is more for symmetry. Three letters in each row.

How awesome is it that those old Mountain Dew bottles had a guy aiming a rifle at another guy making a run for an outhouse?

Drop the "D" from the MTN DEW and they'd have a winner.

1951 Ally ordered the first ACL Mountain Dew bottle. The bottle was green glass with white paint (no red) showing a hillbilly shooting at a revenuer running from an outhouse.

I have a few of those old Mt. Dew 'hillbilly' bottles -- good stuff. Regarding the Pepsi logo, I like the font, but not the new logo.

If this means they're dumping Pepsi One, then I will have no reason to purchase any of their products any more. Diet Pepsi is four-plus nasty.
