He's pretty funny and gets good gas mileage.

I never really felt one way or the other about his degree of funniness (funarity?). I just hope he doesn't completely F up the American version of Top Gear.

Somewhat funny. Not nearly as funny as he thinks he is.

He seems to run about 5% hilarious and 95% tedious.

Love him. Used to listen to his show religiously, but after Bonaduce joined the cast I had to stop.

I heard he left but I still haven't started listening to it again.

I remember the morning he called in the first time on KROQ in either 1993 or 1994. I guess he was living with Jimmy (Kimmel) the Sports Guy and that is how he got the gig on KROQ. I haven't followed him much after he left the Kevin & Bean Show.

I always wondered if he had been hired as "birchim" first, or if he had done loveline and just piped in on the morning show. He does seem to have a log of knowledge about plumbing, though... both as Mr Birchum and when he rants about Ty Pennington.

We've been busier than heck here the last couple of weeks, with the expansion of DCA in full bloom.

I believe he was also a contractor or at least did construction jobs before he became famous. So, he was building his school shop teacher persona of Mr. Birchum from his own experience. I (and probably many others) really thought he was a shop teacher, who just happened to be funny and then got a job on KROQ.

It turns out that he was actually kind of auditioning for the part during those morning call-ins. Kevin & Bean have lost a lot of good people to stardom who use to work on their show.

Thank God, Ralph Garman has decided to stick around for the last 11 years.

Chris

Love him. Every morning on the way to work he's on.

I listen to him on my iPhone as well since FREEFM is available on the AOL Radio App.

I thought he was a douche when I first saw him on stuff like Loveline and The Man Show, but he can be hilarious sometimes. I was pleasantly surprised by The Hammer as well.
