Aliens Have Been to Earth: Government Cover Up!
This time it's a former astronaut making the claim:
http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599...-13762,00.html Quote:
So what do you think? Is a former astronaut who walked on the moon a nutcase, has he been misled, or does he know something? If there is a government conspiracy, why hasn't it shut him up?

Or, if he has real evidence, he needs to offer it up. My view: Aliens might exist but have not visited earth. There is no evidence of advanced life elsewhere in our solar system. To get here from another star, they either have to travel FTL (which I don't believe is possible) or really not give a shit about travel time.

Wormholes, duh!
Just cause someone has been to the moon doesn't mean they ain't crazy! Maybe he inhaled too much moondust. ![]() Seriously though, I think that there is probably intelligent life (or at least some sort of life) elsewhere in the galaxy, universe... maybe even the solar system, but not intelligent. But I've never seen anything that convinces me they've visited earth. |

Whether or not we've been visited, I think it defies logic to assume we're alone in a universe this vast. Whether we have any "next-door" neighbors...who knows.

I don't think we're alone in the universe, but I don't think that we have ever made any contact whatsoever with aliens.

My opinion:
Aliens most likely exist. Aliens may have visited Earth, but given the size of the universe it's incredibly unlikely. Even if they have, their technology is likely so superior to ours we haven't the means to detect their presence and they're also likely to be smart enough to not leave traces or witnesses of their visits, so Roswell wasn't aliens and close encounter folks are delusional.

Didn't we already find life on Mars last month? There was a 30 second blip about it on CNN, IIRC.

I was surprised to read this article this morning, the fact that he was a moonwalker and partnered with Shepard lends some pretty serious credibility, assuming he isn't senile......I didn't hear the interview and have not seen him speak so I don't know.
I am unsure if what he says is true, but I do firmly believe intelligent life exists out there, and I am certain some form of life exists out there in the universe. Last edited by MACD23; 07-24-08 at 09:35 AM. |

I agree that he needs to offer up some hard evidence here. People have been making these claims for YEARS and fail time and time again to offer anything to prove what they are saying.
BTW, I fall on the side of the debate that "UFOs" are indeed real, but they are experimental military air craft, and a lot of disinformation regarding these top secret air tests is leaked to protect military secrets regarding the tests they are doing.

It would have been better if he revealed the moon landing conspiracy/cover-up.

Consider the 'non natural' structures found on objects in our solar system:

Why is it always that the ET's are smarter and superior to us. For once I would like for someone to come and say I have met the Aliens and they are RETARDS!!!!

The best reason why no extraterristials have ever visited Earth is why would they want to come to a rathole like earth?

I have always believed there is intelligent life outside of Earth. And the government is scared of them being smarter than them and breaking up the electoral college.
