Where do you need to visit in your own state?

On a recent trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina I realized that I've been to the beaches in SC and Florida a zillion times, but not one time in Georgia. I've lived in Atlanta for 19 years and never even seen a Georgia beach (not counting one trip to Savannah).

What famous or tourist-type spot have you never visited in your own state and probably should?

Skyline Drive

When I lived in Northern Virginia, I didn't see some of the major DC monuments until shortly before leaving. Not sure why I waited so long.

What other "beach" would you go to? Lake Lanier? Sea Island?

For those who don’t know, it’s a four star resort and historic landmark. The hotel sits on top of the former doomsday bunker for Congress.

Never been to Statue of Liberty
Never been to the top of the former Twin Towers
Never went inside of Radio City
Never took those tour around the city buses or boats
