What 'spirit' goes best with hot chocolate?

It's cold and I'm thinking of having a nice after work drink when I get home. I love me some hot chocolate, but need to add a little somethin' somethin' to get me in the holiday spirit.

So, what should I add to my hot chocolate? Any good recipes?

I'd say some sort of liqueur, like Frangelico, amaretto, or a coffee liqueur like Chouffe (which tastes like coffee, not "coffee").

Always went with peppermint schnapps and for an added flourish, at least with guests, one of those baby candy canes draped over the side of the mug.
