Meteor Shower

My alarm didn't go off so I might have missed most of the meteor shower. Didn't get up until 4. Only got to see one shooting star and almost missed that because I gave up and was on my way when I caught it. I was looking in the wrong direction also.

Did anyone get a early morning show?

I try not to get into a meteor shower. It hurts my head.

I hadn't heard about it. Is this an annual event like the Persied (sp?)?

You could only catch this one if you were on the west coast. This one takes place about 3 times every 100 years.

you can read a little about it from http://spaceweather.com/

Drove an hour up to Castaic, CA to get away from the city lights and watched from 3:30-4:30 am. Saw a couple beauties, but just around 10 meteors total. Can't say it lived up to my expectations.

I was heading into the mountains of Colorado early this morning, and got to see some of this. I saw about 15-20 in total before the sun came up.
