Myrtle Beach hotels

Me and the wife are heading down to Myrtle Beach next month. What are the best ways to get a decent room at a good hotel on the beach? I know there';s the usual sites, but can anyone recommend a tried and trusted site that might be of use? We're actually looking to stay on the main strip itself.

If you are staying an entire week, renting a condo is the way to go. One bedroom oceanfront places are cheap, no one wants a one bedroom at what is mostly a family area.

google "north myrtle beach condo" or "north myrtle beach condo rental" and go with whomever comes up with a good deal I have never had a bad experience.

I have also hit VRBO.com and found some good deals there, you are not too late to book for next month.

If you are only going to be there a couple days, I stayed at this place once

it was nice enough

Absolutely. I stayed at an oceanfront condo in Myrtle Beach a couple of weeks ago, and I'll have a hard time ever wanting to stay in a hotel again.

I've never rented a condo but everyone that does tell me that it's actually cheaper than renting a hotel not to mention well more convenient than a hotel. Heck even if it were a few dollars more it would be worth it to me. You can bring your own food since dining out gets expensive. If I'm not mistaken most of the condos are in North Myrtle Beach.

I'm lucky that one of my good friends just moved up there. Free room and board whenever I feel like a vacation.
