I think I love Kittydreamer.
 What a sweetheart of a gal. She sent me a pet condolence card. And now I am in love. It also says it is from her husband as well, so I will have to share her, but that only seems fair. It came at a good time. Shelby (our black lab) is fine, but she no longer barks at cars that come down the driveway. She use to do that just so that worf would come out of his coma sleep (he didn't hear well) and he could go bark at the cars, too. They scared a lot of people, which I enjoyed, but couldn't hurt a fly. Worf never barked until he was 3 years old and we moved to our current house. The neighbor had a black lab that barked a lot, so Worf took up the hobby. It was the best alarm system in the world. But now Shelby doesn't bark.  Thanks, Kitty.

That was very nice of Kittydreamer. When my first dog died, I got a few condolence-type cards - always from women. I guess guys just pat ya on the shoulder and say "wow, that's tough, dude" and move on.
Being a dog lover, I'm always more affected by the threads of people losing their dogs than I think I should be. People dying I can shrug off, but not dogs - even if I never met the dog. I always give my dog a hug for the person who lost theirs, as I did for Worf and Dave. (sorry, Dave - no card!  )

I've only received three things from Kittydreamer:
1. A note reading "Please stop emailing me" 2. Another note reading, "No really, and please -- no pics!" 3. A restraining order.
