Arrest Made in Jon Benet Ramsey Murder

Quote:
KUSA - A Boulder County DA Investigator is bringing back a suspect in the JonBenet Ramsey murder case to the United States. The suspect was arrested in Bangkok Thailand this morning.

The suspect has confessed to certain elements of the crime that are unknown to the general public.

The suspect is expected to arrive back in the United States, possibly within the next two days, accompanied by an investigator from the Boulder DA's office.

The Boulder County DA's office has not confirmed the identity of the suspect but is expected to have a press conference later today.

9NEWS.com will live stream the event.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

... do you think that once her mom got to the other side she told her mom what happened and they "crossed over" and gave the authorities a clue or two?

She was six, and her brother Burke was nine at the time. She had two brothers, but I can't remember the age of the other one.

Here is the link from when the mother died - and all the dvdtalkers kind comments about her...

It is sad when someone has no evidence that someone committed a crime, but still calls them a murderer.

Mother of slain JonBenet Ramsey dies

Can they charge a recently exhumed corpse with murder?

Quote:
(CBS/AP) A man arrested in Thailand is being held in connection with the slaying of JonBenet Ramsey, U.S. law enforcement officials said Wednesday.

Federal officials familiar with the case, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the man was being held in Bangkok on unrelated sex charges.

Sources tell CBS News that the suspect, a 41-year-old second-grade schoolteacher, will be brought back to the United States this weekend.

The arrest, made in Bangkok, was made Wednesday morning, a U.S. law enforcement source said.

I still wouldn't be shocked for more information to come from this that ends up revealing that the mom or dad had something to do with it.

It is hard to believe there is any part of this case that is unknown to the general public.

An interview with John Ramsey...

Quote:

DENVER - 9NEWS Investigative Reporter Paula Woodword spoke with John Ramsey Wednesday after news of an arrest in the JonBenet Ramsey murder case had been made public.

A man was arrested in Thailand early Wednesday in relation to the 1996 murder case.

John said he was notified that an arrest had been made and was impressed with the effort put into the arrest by the Boulder County District Attorney's Office, the Thai Police and all of the officers involved in this case.

Ramsey refused to speculate about the case saying, "The justice system needs to run its course and I don't want to speculate and discuss what I know or don't know."

When asked if he knew the suspect Ramsey told 9NEWS, "I can't comment on that now. to the best of my knowledge no."

John Ramsey's wife, Patsy, died in late June after a battle with ovarian cancer. John told 9NEWS that Patsy knew police were working diligently on the case and had a suspect they were in the process of locating.

John has spoken with his other children and told them to be observers at this point and let the justice system take its course. He says he is willing to come to Boulder if needed.
