Any truth to this Medical connection?
Is it true that if you take a shower or bath with "warm" water throughout that person's lifetime, you get skin cancer down the road?

I have NEVER heard of this and also checked Snopes.com
Now when you say 'warm' water, are you actually saying making a conscious decision to not have the water cold or hot? I say this because, I usually don't like 'warm' showers, but love it hot during the winter and cold during the summer. Chris |

I hate cold water and I even take showers in "hot" water in the winter AND summer with a little bit of cold water. My showers usually take from 5-12 minutes depending if I had a long day and I need to relax. Edit: so I assume that my worries are for nothing? |

As far as I know, this rumor is baseless in its content, but I could be wrong.

Ah yes, warm water gently rolling over the skin. I don't see how it CAN'T cause cancer!

Everything causes cancer nowadays. I say enjoy your showers now, because when you get cancer from them, you won't enjoy it.

Exactly why would the temperature of water determine if you get cancer? That makes about as much sense as having two buttholes.
Isn't the water in most swimming pools typically warm? Does this mean that if you swim a lot, you will get cancer? If any water would cause cancer, it would be because it is radioactive or has some chemical crap in it. However, going by my knowledge of 60's Marvel comic books, that would probably just turn you into a superhero or villain. (It worked for Hydro-man.) ![]() |

If the water came from cooling towers around 3 mile island, then yes, it will cause cancer.
