are locked threads more interesting?
you know.. there are alot of threads that I just skip right over, because they dont catch my interest
but then days later when for whatever reason, they get locked.. It really sparks my curiousity maybe there is something tabboo about them what about you, do you find yourself drawn to reading locked threads whether the subject is interesting or not? |

It's fun to read locked threads, especially when it's not immediately apparent what caused the lock.
Probably the best one of recent memory was a discussion on Mexican food that ended up with a member getting [BANNED]. How do these things happen?

Oh, I definately check them right away. Unless it's an obvious double-posted news story or something. Then I call Geoff and wake him up.

What kills me though is I almost always have something I want to add to a locked thread, but I can't! And obviously it would be a bad idea to start a new thread just to respond to a locked one. We should really be able to respond to locked threads, but only one time. Make it a "last call" instead of "locked." So many great comebacks and snotty remarks get wasted.

'Yeah, your mother too!' That was NEVER the intent when he loaded the shotgun! I prefer the ass spread wide Yeah, the Dutch are like that I'm pretty sure Bush was born in the NE, not the 4th circle Your posts sound alot like Lateralus42! and finally... pee in her butt

I'd like to see a software "enhancement" so that when a thread gets locked all the previously deleted posts become undeleted

I think the locked threads should just be deleted if the mods don't want things to re-hatch.

There should be a search function for locked threads.

The search tool got locked for me once. But it unlocked itself automatically after a few mins. Automatically shuts itself off if the load is too high. Amazing.
