Have you ever eaten raw weiners?

When I was a kid way back when before we had a microwave oven I would sometimes eat uncooked hot dogs cuz I didn't want to wait for my mom to warm them up.

They seems to taste pretty good but it's been a long time since I tried one. Today my son wanted to eat one uncooked but I didn't let him.

I don't think it can hurt you. Right?

Who's a fan of the uncooked action?

I thought they were pre-cooked. I wouldn't take a chance with them though, ground meat has the highest potential for bacterial contamination.

Uncooked weenies are already cook throughout and are 100 percent safe to eat uncooked or cooked the only difference is if you like them hot or cold. Let your son live on the wild side and eat a weenie.

There used to be (maybe still are) mini cocktail ones from OM that I used to eat when I was younger and they were cold when eaten.

I don't like hot dogs, never did. The only ones I can eat are at the ballpark, with lots of ketchup and mustard and relish and onions. There is something about all the toppings and the steamed bum that makes the meat-like hot dog edible. Hot dogs are about as bad as spam or any meat product that comes from "mechanically seperated XYZ". It makes me wonder how much of the hot dog is beak, peacker, and intestines. I suspect a few chicken eyeballs get mixed in too.

I'd rather fry up cold cuts in a frying pan than eat hot dogs. You can smother them in mayonase, and they taste half way good.

I don't like hot dogs, but most of them come 'fully cooked'. They will say so, if they are.

When I was a kid, I often ate them "raw", but then my mother heard that they could cause salmonella, so she didn't let me eat them anymore. Damn salmonella, it's the same reason I could no longer buy a turtle at the local petstore after my old one died.

It's ok to eat the raw weenie.

And you can make a sig out of that if you want.

If you're speaking to me, then no. Your quote does not reference me in a positive manner so it does not help my ego boost needs.

Maybe he should go back to school? You can't "cook out" mad cow. If a hot dog was contaminated with mad cow disease it wouldn't matter if it was cooked or "raw."

And as for getting other illnesses from eating them cold, I highly doubt it. 1) They're fully cooked. 2) You don't generally cook hot dogs anyway, you warm them.

Nice try, but not quite.

I may consider using the first sentence, but the second has a tinge of negativity.

I used to eat raw hot dogs all the time as a kid, but they always left a weird after-film in my mouth.

After film? Are you talking about "protein swimmers"?

Maybe it was the brand, but it was a waxy film. I could scrape it off with a fingernail afterwards. Pretty gross now that I think about it.

I equate hotdogs = spam. Isn't it just ground up left over meat?
It has been years maybe even a decade since I've eaten a hotdog.

I guess that makes me a 'no' vote.

Cold weenies really help bring forth the lips and asshole taste.

When i was in university i had a summer job in a meat processorer plant, in the weiner department, god i hated that job, anyways the hotdogs we made came from a huge sack, like a cement bag, like 20 pounds or so of powder, just add some liquid, into the mixer and voila, hotdog
