Well, same kind of topics, but not presented in any way like Bullshit.

Penn has his own podcast though of his Vegas radio show if you want to hear him talk. Granted its PG because its commercial radio, but they do go into topics from BS and have had James Randi on the show.

I'll give it a listen.

Do you know what the Penn show is called? I hope it's on iTunes because I let iTunes take care of all of my podcasts. Much easier to manage.

http://penn.freefm.com/ (it's also on iTunes)

I'm digging his show, but the compression is TERRIBLE. The updates are kind of sporadic, too. At least they are posting full-length shows now (used to just be 10-20 minute clips).

Yeah, sorry I should have posted links. I get everything on iTunes so I'm used to just searching everything by name.

Does anyone know of any good, (idealy non partisian but either left slant or right slant is fine) daily news podcasts? I'm really trying to find a few decent daily podcast that focus on very recent events in politics.

Any ideas?

Thanks

If you're a fan of Kevin Smith, you'll want to check out the latest podcast from Geekdrome (#13). He sits and chats with the geeks for an hour (and it's only part 1) about comics, movies, and tv. It's available in both mp3 and m4v formats:

If they could be as organized as the guys at MeteorGeek then my enjoyment of the Buffy and Angel Podcasts would increase tremendously.

I agree. I like the format of the show, but the hosts tend to bother me. They seem to hate a lot of the episodes and characters.

I will have to download meteorgeeks. I plan on watching Smallville after I am finished re-watching Angel.

Around Comics is new one I like about comic books and The Signal a firefly podcast that I'm surprised is still active. Can't stop the signal.

You know what is screwed up. Apple suing everyone that uses pod in their name. I hate you apple. Down with ipod up with creative.

I've changed up a little bit and gotten more into gaming podcasts. My current list is:

1up Yours
CAGCast
Downloadable Content (Penny Arcade's - though they don't seem to be doing them anymore, which is a shame because even though I don't really like their comics, it's the funniest podcast I've ever heard)
EGM Live
Gamespot's Hotspot
The Instance (WoW podcast)

I also listen to Reeltime Moviecast (though why, I don't know - it's pretty lame), TWiT and Diggnation.

My current favs:

Keith and the Girl : Very good comedy podcast, plus it's daily which is great.
TWiT: One of the most popular weekly tech news roundups
Buzz Out Loud : Cnet's daily news podcast, pretty good even if they sometimes have to strech a slow news day.
TVGuide Talk: weekly TV roundup, plus movie reviews, show info, a little gossip and the occational celeb interview. It's pretty good in general, though it helps a lot if you watch some of the shows they discuss most often (Veronica Mars, Lost, 24, Gilmore Girls, Prison Break, Everwood, and a few more).
Diggnation: Weekly discussion of the highest rated stories on Digg, while drinking beer. Can be informative and entertaining, but too much frat boy mentality at times.
ExtremeTech Podcast: Weekly tech roundup focusing on hardware.
GameSpot's The HotSpot: Weekly video game roundup. They seem to focus a lot more on console games and hardware than PC games.

Here are the podcasts I listen to:

The Rush Limbaugh Show (through Rush 24/7 subscription through iTunes)
Coast to Coast AM (through Streamlink subscription)
ESPN Radio's Mike & Mike in the Morning and The Herd with Colin Cowherd (through ESPN Insider subscription)
This Week in Technology

I especially love ESPN Radio's shows because Mike Greenberg, Mike Golic and Colin Cowherd can be quite funny at times.

I'm hoping that ESPN can allow their full radio shows to be downloaded through iTunes software like Limbaugh's radio show can.

I only listen to a handful:

- TWiT - Simply the best. It's what got me hooked on podcasts.
- CAGCast - CheapAssGamer's podcast. Best for video gaming
- Fly With Me - A Pilot who interviews co-pilots and flight attendants telling stories about different flying stories.
- Andy Rooney - I prefer this to trying to catch 60 minutes on Sunday. Though, It SHOULD be a videocast, because once a month or so he's talking about something he's showing, and makes no sense.
- Channel 101 (Videocasts) - Comedic serial shorts from the website of the same name. Great stuff.

Used to listen to/watch, don't anymore:
- Diggnation (Videocasts) - They're too long, annoying, and generally I'd rather just read the news on the site. (AKA: Love the site, hate the show)
- KFI Tech Guy - Leo Laporte's radio show. I like it... but the questions really range from really informative to really stupid. I like his monologes at the beginning of the show, but he seems to cater to the parenting crowd in this show, and seems to be more pro-censorship and such, but is the opposite on TWiT (I should note the talk show airs on a Conservative Talk station so that could be why). So it kinda annoys me.

You really think so? I listen to this and I don't think he's more pro-censorship. He keeps harping on net neutrality on this podcast, so I don't see where you're getting that from. I do agree it's not as interesting as TWiT, but that's only because he's making a show for a general radio audience.
