I'd be much more concerned if he loved "The Final Countdown" and started asking for magic trick kits for Christmas.

No, but it's weird that you like Aqua.

See? I'm not the only one. There's no reason to like Aqua. Vengaboys at least are so unbelievably kitschy (and honestly serious about their work) that it becomes hilarious (listen to the lyrics of "Superfly Slick"). But to be honest, I only know one other straight guy that likes them.

Sir, turn in your Good Taste in Music card immediately. We are cutting it up. It's OK to like Aqua. It is not OK to compare them to Beethoven.

And you bastards, I would recommend The Who's The Seeker, okay? Geez.

Announcer: Do you suffer from inexplicable anxiety?

Are you confused and upset?

Do you have an overwhelming feeling that you've done something wrong?

{ dissolve into flashback of Boy #1 twirling a baton in an empty gym }

Boy #1: Hi, Dad! This is called a Double Susie!

Announcer: You can't control whatever he is or isn't. But you can control how it affects you. Homocil can provide relief for parental anxiety disorder. Homocil can help.

{ show Boy #2 running effeminately with a volleyball at a school gym}

Boy #2: Hi, Mommy!

{ Mom waves back weakly, her eyes to the floor in shame }

Announcer: If you're obsessed about things you can't change.. If you are unable to cope with unforeseen developments..

{ Dad #2 opens Boy #3's bedroom, to find his son holding up a sparkly tank top }

Boy #3: Look what I made! Isn't it fabulous!

{ Dad #2 closes door and breaks down in a sobbing mess in the hallway }

Announcer: If you avoid prolonged contact with your children, due to these overwhelming anxieties..

{ Boy #4 enters living room wearing apron, holding out a platter of food }

Boy #4: Who wants crème brûlée?

{ Dad #3 grabs the bottle of Homocil pills and chugs it down. He chases the pills with a bottle of Budweiser.}

Announcer: When taken regularly, Homocil dramatically decreases parental anxiety.

{ shows boys playing basketball; cuts to Boy #4 performing as a male cheerleader amongst female cheerleaders }

{ cut to Dad in the crowd smiling painfully and near-catatonic, giving a forced thumbs-up to his kid }

Announcer: Homocil. Until you come around.

{ show Mom hugging Boy #2 }

Because it's your problem. Not theirs.

I think it makes sense that a kid would like them. It's silly cartoony pop music. In a year or two they'll listen to the lyrics and hang their head in shame, but for now I don't think it's a big deal. I mean, what should 6-year olds be listening to?

Bingo. It's called Bubblegum music for a reason. Catchy, happy tunes tailored for jumping up and down on a bed. Introduce them to Abba Gold.

You think that their interest in a song about a slutty girl getting some action means they could be gay (or your husband does??) I don't know....it could be healthy. And I could see the song appealing more to kids than adults. It's fun, like kids songs should be.

If in doubt, make flash cards of the band members. If they get more excited over the guys, you may have a problem!

Could be worse....they could be SLAYER fans.

Although I'm a huge fan of SLAYER I'm quick to point out that other SLAYER fans are evil.
