Ever let your coffee set out 'till it gets stale cold and still drink it?

Well, guess what?

Give up?

I do!

Treesa bought me one of those fancy thermal cups that have a lid and a little slidy thing that opens so I can get a drink, and I usually close it after every sip, but not always!

I absolutely LOVE the taste of my coffee (and the special "TOP SECRET" way I make it which if I told ya, you know the drill...), and it tastes WONDERFUL hot, warm, luke warm, & cold but especially (((COLD)))!!!

But don't get me wrong, I don't mean ((((freezing)))) cold, just setting out all day, stale cold.

...and not really "Stale", but more like, "Stale-ish".

(Nowadays it's probably more "popular" to be Stale-ish rather than just being plain ol' boring, "Stale", right?)

So, now here's the part where you get to tell me (and everyone else):

Do you ever drink your coffee stale cold?

THEEK!, Indeed!

I'm not happy that it went cold, but with the way I make my coffee its always going to be good.

Spring Water
Fresh ground gourmet
Natural sugar
Half and Half Cream

Yeah you could say I'm a coffee snob.

I always do that. I figure if it's spoiled and I get the runs, it'll just clean out my system

I can't stand hot coffee, I let mine sit around until it's just warm, but not hot. If I am getting coffee to go someplace, I normally just put ice in it to help cool it down. I drink it black.

As far as stale coffee goes, I'd call that coffee that's been sitting in a pot for 3 or 4 hours, that stuff is nasty.

Every single day. I drink 6-8 cups throughout the workday, and probably half of them get cold before I finish them.

Every day for me, too. I usually get to about 2/3 of a cup and then it gets all yucky and cold. I still try to force it down cold though. And always one cup. I wouldn't go back for a refill.

I'll let a cup get a couple hours old, but usually microwave it. I like my coffee freshly-hot.

Beh... cold coffee...

Treesa was in the Exec kitchen (being an Exec and all) one day and the BIG BOSS came in and noticed she was microwaving a cup of coffee.

He asked her, "What are you doing?" and she said, "Reheating my cup of coffee.", then he put on his trademark constipated face, and shook his head as he left the kitchen.

I suppose he couldn't understand why she just didn't get a new cup of coffee.

Treesa will reheat a cup before she gets a new one. She'd say why waste a cup of coffee if you can reheat it?

(Maybe it had something to do with the fact that he somehow felt rejected because he just bought a $12,000 cappuccino machine and she wasn't using it as much as he thought she should?)

OH, WHO KNOWS???

Billionares. Who can figure 'em out?

THEEK!

Yea, but the money isn't the hard part. It's stuffing the money down the cat's mouth that gets troublesome.

But DAMN, Adam!

There you are, busting your BUTT, making someone else a millionare, getting fat by your sweat, and they can't provide the Gol-Dern coffee?

I'm sorry, but that makes me

THEEK!

Ergyu is my private barista at Starbucks on my way to work. He's trained the staff there to provide me with a 16oz coffee with about 2" of ice in the bottom of the cup.

At home, I have a Bunn coffeemaker. I never ever ever ever turn on the carafe warmer. The first cup of coffee (black, only black) gets 2 cubes of ice, I'll drink the rest of the pot in varying stages of tepid to room temperature.

It's a small company. I'm just making someone a nearly-millionaire.

And I don't mind "no free coffee" as much as I mind "no vision/dental plan."

Where I am, it's $0.15 per cup, well within reason.

The people who run the fund have told me that it costs ~ $0.10 or so per cup with a little variation for coffee prices, but they also buy plasticware, knapkins, a new refridgerator & microwave, etc for the break room, and they still have $1,000 or so sitting in the bank.

Hey, BS!

If you ever tasted a cup of my TOP SECRET elixir/concoction (which not only tastes great but has been known in some parts of the south to prolong life indefinitely), you'd never drink water again!

TEK, you mentioned the south...you're not using that nasty-ass Community Coffee are you?

I can't stand that stuff. Tastes like it's made with horse piss and filtered through a dirty sock.
