shall we pho now, or shall we pho later?

I love pho (Vietnamese noodles). I eat pho at least once a week, usually twice a week. Any other pho lovers out there?

My favorite places are:
Pho Hanh Vietnamese Restaurant in Temple City, CA
Pho 999 in Reseda, CA
Pho Nguyen Hue in Westminster, CA

I've only had Vietnamese food once with a Vietnamese friend that flew in from CA a couple years ago over the Xmas holidays. For some reason Vietnamese food just didn't do much for me.

pho is pretty good. there are a couple places here in Champaign that serve it but nowhere near as good as the pho I had when I visited Cali. I went to a place in San Jose that was damn_good.

Yeah, none of them in Champaign are really any good. I used to live right off 5th and University, so I went to that pho place on University a lot (near Durst Cycle). Wasn't that great, but 30 second drive from my home so ...

Pho is like pizza, in that even bad pho is still pretty good pho.

Pho is excellent. It has been so long though since I have basked in the goodness that is pho. Fall of 2001 I believe. Yes, I am a sad human being.

There are some great Pho places next to the University of Washington in Seattle.

I like pho. Lots of pho places in Portland, at least a dozen. The best if Pho Van though. Gotta love the pho.

If you haven't had the pho, try the pho. You don't understand the pho until you've had it. For years I drover around and saw signs proclaiming, "Beef Noodle Soup" and thought they must be crazy. I kept picturing Campbells type of soup and the concept was totally lost on me.

My fiancé makes pho, and damn good pho at that. I had it way back in the 80's-90's but I never knew what it was called until she started making it for me last year. Long live the pho!

pho shizzle

Actually, it doesn't sound appealing to me. Of course, I wouldn't set foot in a Chinese or Mexican restaurant just 3 short years ago.

El Monte ... that's on the way to/from work for me. I live just north of Rosemead. I take Rosemead Blvd south past the I-10 to CA-60 East. I know Garvey, because the light on Rosemead is ALWAYS red when I hit Garvey. Okay, it's been green like once in the past 4 months. And the green time is just about equal for Rosemead as it is for Garvey.

Anyway, thanks. I'll check it out one of these days.

Pho is a beef broth with Vietnamese noodles and various vegetables/meats mixed in.

I was checking out http://www.phohoa.com and noticed they have opened one up in Chicago!

For my birthday on Sunday I received a $20 gift certificate to the new vietnamese place, Pho 516, that just opened a few miles away from me.

I can't wait to go use it. Yum...I might have to do that today.
