Yeah I'm sure there are some stupid stipulations that will make the vouchers basically worthless.

here are the venues they operate: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Live_N...ainment#Venues

Re: PSA: Check your Ticketmaster account

My fear is that the free ticket will be only for lawn seating (at least at my local Live Nation venue in Tinley Park). They regularly sell for $10 to $20 or so. I'd rather pay the $40 and get tickets up close.

Re: PSA: Check your Ticketmaster account

Class action suits suck
"Technical difficulties." I'll try again. Thanks for the heads up.

edit - I tried again. I have 2 pairs of tickets and 2 discount codes.

Usually you have to opt-out of a class action suit, not opt-in.

I just got a settlement check for the Vibram FiveFingers shoes class action suit; the check was for 20.21 for two pairs - and at that, it was more than I thought I'd get. At least it wasn't a coupon for a purchase on the same product - that's bulls&$&.

Here's the fine print:

Spoiler:

Welcome to the Schlesinger v. Ticketmaster Dedicated Ticket Information Site.

You may have recently received an email regarding the Schlesinger v. Ticketmaster Class Action Settlement because you are a Class Member who may be entitled to Ticket Codes as part of the Settlement. Once Ticket Codes are made available to you in your Ticketmaster account, you may attempt to use your Ticket Codes to claim “free tickets” identified as available for redemption on this website. These “free tickets” are available on a first-come, first-served basis and may not be available for redemption if others have claimed them before you.

Class Members who made purchase transactions on www.ticketmaster.com between October 21, 1999 and February 27, 2013, should anticipate receiving, on or around June 18, 2016, at least one Ticket Code redeemable for two tickets for General Admission seating at designated concert events at Live Nation owned or operated venues, subject to availability and limitations. For a list of guidelines regarding using your Ticket Code(s), please visit the official Settlement Website, http://www.ticketfeelitigation.com/faq#Q18.

If you are interested in using your Ticket Code(s) towards the purchase of event tickets, first retrieve your ticket codes by logging on to https://www.ticketmaster.com/member/vouchers. Once you have your Ticket Code(s) ready, select an event from the list of eligible events displayed on this website and proceed through the purchase process. On the Billing Page during your transaction, look for a “Voucher Code” link and enter your Ticket Code to receive your discount(s).

If you have lost or misplaced your Ticketmaster login name and/or password, please use the “Forgot password?” link to reset your password from https://www.ticketmaster.com/member/.

This website displays the list of eligible events for which Ticket Codes may be used. Please note that the list of eligible events will be periodically updated. To receive periodic notifications by email when new events become available, please sign up here to receive notice. Please note that by signing up for the subscription service you are merely receiving information about new events periodically. You are not signing up to receive tickets and you are not guaranteeing yourself any ticket to any event.

Or they'll be for things like Bob and Earl's Puppet Show and Carrot Top with special guest Gallagher II.

They should also be good for general admission shows at FirstMerit Pavilion next to Soldier Field.

Re: PSA: Check your Ticketmaster account

The free tickets and vouchers are good until 6/18/2020 so I expect them to put up the list of offered shows on 6/17/2020.

Re: PSA: Check your Ticketmaster account

Anyone else lose all their vouchers and just have the $2.25 discounts now? Mine are all gone. That was fun while it lasted.

Re: PSA: Check your Ticketmaster account

Wow - mine too. 2 x 2.25 "discounts". Which will pay for 1/3 of a single ticket's Ticketbastard fee. Either a) temporary technical snafu or b) class action suits suck even more for the consumer than I thought or c)TM sucks even more than they did previously.

Lots of folks on Twitter discovered this as well.

Is anyone that saw free tickets still seeing them in their account ? I only show 17 discount codes for $2.25 each in my account.

Re: PSA: Check your Ticketmaster account

This whole thing is a fucking joke.

$60 in vouchers versus the thousands I've spent with Ticketbastard.

Re: PSA: Check your Ticketmaster account

That list is a joke. Only one venue in TX is honoring these passes and it's in Dallas. I'm sure as heck not driving 4 hours to sit on the lawn for a concert. So, yeah.

Re: PSA: Check your Ticketmaster account

Count me in as one of the people who had free tickets and now only has vouchers. Oh, and no shows in Minnesota on that list, as far as I can tell.

Re: PSA: Check your Ticketmaster account

I still have all my free tickets and vouchers.

Only one venue in my area. Couldn't find any shows I wanted to see, but I thought I'd try to pick up a couple tickets for Black Sabbath for friends. The voucher code was not accepted.

I suspect this is going to take an incredible amount of work and luck to actually get the free tickets.

Re: PSA: Check your Ticketmaster account

Wow, all the ticket for the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ (probably the closest venue to NYC) are no longer on that list. They either sold or the venue is not participating.

Re: PSA: Check your Ticketmaster account

Yeah real big surprise. Absolutely nothing remotely near me. What a joke but I guess I expected that to be the case. I'd actually consider going to Weezer if one of the shows were near me.

Re: PSA: Check your Ticketmaster account

There are a bunch of halfway decent shows but they are at an outdoor venue. All of which are in the summer in Phoenix. No thanks

Re: PSA: Check your Ticketmaster account

Nothing near me. Chicago and St. Louis seem to be the closest. I don't think I'm driving 6 hours.
