I thought Alicia Silverstone had already made some movies at that point, and it was Clueless that really broke her big, not Aerosmith videos. You could be right about Liv though.

Of course, I remember the SNL skit where Mike Myers was the agent showing off actresses for the next Aerosmith video. It eventually became a Mary Katherine Gallagher bit, but the highlight was Myers telling Steven Tyler "You guys have a history of gorgeous women in your videos...Alicia Silverstone, and that lippy brunette with the long legs. Man, I'd like to grab those legs and..."
