LL Cool J - I Need Love

Back when I liked LL and Bigger and Deffer but lost interest is his work during the 90's and beyond.

Nine Inch Nails - Closer (the first 2/3 anyway)

And I'm not saying I hate it because it's their most popular song, the song that threw the band into the mid-90's spotlight and arguably could be the sole reason that Trent Reznor's career exists at all; it just so happens to be those things.

I hate it because it's fucking terrible.

The instrumental version, however, is quite good.
I love it when Prince screams but on "God" he sounds like he was strapped on a torture rack or something.

The instrumental version is a gem indeed.

Re: Songs you hate by artists you love?

Loved Bon Jovi for a long time. Then they released "These Days" and haven't been the same since. On that album they turned in to some depressing Springsteen wannabe (no problems with Springsteen btw). Haven't had a good record since. Although "It's My Life" was a big hit for them Jon just seems to be cashing it in with trying to be a soft rock/country singer. Almost everybody I know my age when we talk about Bon Jovi goes the direction of "what happened"? So this isn't really a song post more like a continual decline of album quality by a band. I guess it fits because I listened to the shit out of them and now I can't stand anything they put out.
