How was the GA Experience?

This is a show that needs some distance. So normally GA is the way to go, but I really preferred my upper deck experience the 2nd night.

Loved the GA Section, I stood near the back of it, and got a great view the runway was fantastic, GA Floor wasn't at all crowded - especially back there, incredible show. As expected. Bono was in great form.

All right, I caved in. I generally turn my nose up at expensive stadium shows, and U2 hasn't interested me much musically over the last 20 years. However, they were my favorite band as a teenager and through college years, and were probably the band that most inspired me to learn guitar and write songs. The last time I saw them was The Unforgettable Fire tour in 1985---so I guess revisiting them exactly 30 years later will be kind of appropriate.

And they added an extra show in Boston and still had tickets available for $45. That helped.

Almost bought some lower levels for $105 today off Stubhub but couldn't find anyone to go. I'll see what Saturday's show is going for.

Yeah, tix that were originally going for $200 (face value) ended up going for under $100 day of the show.

I was front row of the uppers dead center (I sat in Chick Hearns box area, little plaque and all) and they dropped to $100 on Monday. The seats orignally were $280.

Periscope is awesome! I have seen parts of almost every show that I wasn't at! ^^ that would have been a great view to watch!

Yeah, Periscope definitely is! I was getting a kick out of the comments I saw during the stream...some wanted me to change to portrait during 1 song, then others wanted me to change my phone back to landscape, then 1 guy asked if I could get him a beer lol

Just came back from the second Toronto show and I'm way excited that they played Angel of Harlem and All I Want Is You.
Bono picked up a female audience member and she was holding a sign that her dream was to play guitar with them, and they gave a chance by playing the above two songs. I don't know if it was planted or not nor do I care since I got to listen live my favourite two songs. She was pretty good BTW.

Funny, they HAVE played Crystal Ballroom now (one of the Chicago shows got it), and it was scheduled to be played last night (Toronto 2) but the girl (Who was not a plant) got them to play AIWIY instead. On their setlist, they were supposed to play AIWIY later in the show, so people thought they might get TCB in the spot the AIWIY was supposed to be played in later in the show, but they just dropped the song for the night.

Thanks for the info! Dream come true indeed for that girl. Based on those pictures you posted Chris, you must be part of the fan club and buy the floor tickets. Correct? Or is there another process I don't know about to get those amazing seats? I'm thinking of splurging and getting them, next time they tour again.

GA floors are usually the most popular with fans, and they are cheap (compared to most of the seats, $80) but I enjoyed the show from center ice uppers as well.

I am part of the fan club which I use to gt those seats, but they sell the in the regular ticket sales as well as dropping more of them a few days before each show.
