Time to DVR Fallon
When The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon launched back in February, U2 was the first musical guest. They performed in the show's studio, and they also did a song on the top of 30 Rockefeller Center.
Now the band's returning to The Tonight Show for an entire week. From Nov. 17 to Nov. 21, U2 will be the steady musical guest. As The Hollywood Reporter notes, this residency takes place the same week Metallica heads to The Late Late Show to join Craig Ferguson for five nights.

I thought there were only 16 songs total including bonus songs on the deluxe and not 20?

They did not appear on Fallon but Fallon covered U2.

I had to delete the album because it wouldn't download some booklet through the iBook. I would get annoying popups every few minutes saying unable to download item please try again later. Annoying.

Will all the king's horses and all the king's men have Bono put back together by then?

I'm guessing they felt they wouldn't be selling out those stadiums anymore. Still, arenas are more than most artists get.

This tour is following U2's pattern of going back and forth between stadium tours (Zoo TV, PopMart, 360) and arena tours (Elevation, Vertigo).
After several years of 360, really they had to go smaller --- and shorter.

I think you're wrong there, given that they sold out stadiums consistently just three years ago, and they're already adding shows in some cities on this tour to meet demand.

No thanks. I will have a MUCH better time paying $20 to watch Midge Ure about 10 feet from the stage.

Maybe I need to give it another spin but not a huge fan of the new album.
Hiring Danger Mouse was not a good idea and not enough rock.

Yep even though he barely played, I really enjoy his offbeat strumming in songs like The Fly, With or Without You, Dirty Day, Exit, One, etc. I actually wish they would mix him louder in the mix. Some of my favorite live boots are the ones that have him mixed up clearly in the right channel so you can hear exactly what he is (and isn't to be fair to detractors) playing.

Bono really got fucked up in that bike accident. When it was first reported the news was like, "Bono took a little spill in Central Park today." But it was more than a spill. Seems it caused major injury. Hope he makes a full recovery.

I don't doubt that it's a serious injury, but I wonder if that's just some hyperbole on Bono's part. I mean, to just strum chords on an electric guitar doesn't take too much---you'd have to lose some MAJOR functioning of your fingers and wrists to not be able to do that. To the point where he'd have a lot of trouble just using his hands for any everyday activity, like writing or using eating utensils. I don't know.
