Neil Young - A Letter Home (Out today)
Apparently, Neil Young has released his newest album, A Letter Home, today as a semi-surprise release from third man records
Price- $20.00 (plus $8.95(!) priority shipping.
Covers record essentially recorded in a very old phone booth style recording room. Just Neil, a guitar and a harmonica
Track Listing:
01. “Changes” (Phil Ochs)
02. “Girl From The North Country” (Bob Dylan)
03. “Needle of Death” (Bert Jansch)
04. “Early Morning Rain” (Gordon Lightfoot)
05. “Reason To Believe” (Tim Hardin)
06. “On The Road Again” (Willie Nelson)
07. “If You Could Only Read My Mind” (Gordon Lightfoot)
08. “Since I Met You Baby” (Ivory Joe Hunter)
09. “My Hometown” (Bruce Springsteen)
10. “I Wonder If I Care As Much” (Everly Brothers)
Personally, I am pretty excited about this. Saw him last night in Dallas on his solo acoustic mini tour and thought he was great. His covers of Changes and If You Could Read My Mind were really pretty.
Take it with a grain of salt though... I own Everybodys Rockin' on CD, if that says anything and I don't hate it.
Unfortunately, not sure if it will come out on CD or if it is a third man only release, so for now its the vinyl for me.

Its okay. The songs are great, the performances (for the most part) are really good, but the sound quality is distractingly bad

I almost picked this up at a local shop yesterday until I started reading some reviews about the shitty quality. Shame too, currently listening to Zuma for the first time in my life, it sounds awesome and is just some great music.
