Agreed. I know it doesn't really matter but it bugs the shit out of me.

It's not as terrible as Teargarden by Kaleidoscope or whatever the fuck that was called.

If you think about it, many of their album titles sounded stupid. It's just that we grew up with that music and it kicked ass that they get a pass.

I mean, Siamese Dream. Mellin Collie & the Infinite Sadness?

I have no idea why he shaves his head, no dude in history has looked worse with a shaved head than this guy.

I always assumed he wanted to be the only band frontman to look like Uncle Fester.

Since he stopped wearing those black outfits/dresses...i don't know anymore.

By Siamese Dream actually. But there are options. You can hat it, you can cut it short but leave the sides, etc. Shaved all the way doesn't suit this guy. It wouldn't suit me either, FTR.

Just bought my tickets to see Smashing Pumpkins at Brooklyn Bowl, Las Vegas (a combination SRO live venue, restaurant and bowling alley, opened here in April). Looking forward to it!

The Smashing Pumpkins have added a Las Vegas date to their series of one of a kind shows in support of the release of their new album, Monuments to an Elegy, available December 9. Joining The Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan and Jeff Schroeder for this intimate show will be Mark Stoermer of The Killers on bass and Brad Wilk of Rage Against The Machine on drums. This is a can’t miss show!

Being Beige sounds great. But every other song on the album is terrible. Zeitgeist level bad. It's weird, I actually thought that the Songs For A Sailor and The Solstice Bare were terrific. Oceania wasn't that bad either. But Monuments....bad. Just bad.

I rather like "Tiberius", but the album seems to suffer from the same issue I had with "Oceania", Billy's vocals sound like they are on top of the music instead of mixed in with it. That was one of the aspects I liked about the older albums.

I am a big SP fan and I am very underwhelmed by this album. Monuments is the best song on the album and that one, along with Tiberius and One And All, are the only 3 that I really care anything for.

I wish he was writing and releasing more stuff like this, which was an unreleased song from the Oceania era that they performed live sometimes on recent tours. This shit is where it's at:

I like it as well. But what i would really like is for him to just complete this "Tea Garden" project already. That and putting out a better version of the full "Machina" project.

Drum+Fife is good and sounds like one of their older songs after a few listens.
