Free Press Summer Fest: Houston, TX June 2-3, 2012

This isn't quite Coachella but it sure has grown over the past few years.

Here's the lineup so far:

Flaming Lips
Avett Brothers
Willie Nelson
Snoop Dogg
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
What Made Milwaukee Famous
Best Coast
Primus
and about 20 more acts.

The website says that Flaming Lips are going to be playing Dark Side Of The Moon. I believe they also played it a couple of years ago at this festival. If so, that is lame.

I only went the first year and it was fun, but that was about the biggest crowd I want to deal with. As it has grown, I've lost interest just because I hate crowds and the hassles that come with them.

Still, should be fun for those who go.

I really want to see the Avetts but not really in a festival setting. June in Houston is borderline insanity with the heat + humidity. I missed them the last time they were in the area.

Just remembered - I'll be in Pennsylvania the first week of June so there goes that.
