Is sucking total balls really any worse than sucking some or partial balls? If figure once any amount of balls enter the inhalation sequence, the suckiness is pretty much assured.

I like the music now better than the 90's.

Our alternative rock station here in Chicago (Q101), which has been around since 1992, just got shut down Guess it's a sign of the times.

Kind of. Rock Radio is definitely stuck in the 90s with both 90s bands and duplicates there of. (Seether, Shinedown, Hinder and Breaking Benjamin -- amongst others). Our local alt rock station has mixed it up a little though ever since they chased Clear Channel out of town (they play a lot of Mumford & Sons, Airborne Toxic Event, Foster the People, AWOLNATION, Black Keys (who headlined the stations festival last year), etc; ) bands that have a decidedly non-90s sound in addition to a few of the bigger bands at least sounding a little different (Rise Against is a late 90s band but I'll throw them in there). I'm just glad they play minimal amounts of Creed and Nickelback.

I give it a few more years until Internet radio does some real damage.

Well, you're also older and likely have the mindset that everything was better when you were younger. Which is very common.

Rock music in the mid-to-late 90's wasn't that great to begin with. Which is why I started looking down other avenues and avoiding mainstream music altogether during that exact same time.

There are still some good bands getting airplay but it isn't vastly different than my years as a teenager in the late 90's.

I wish rock was stuck in the 90s...as it's been said before. Sure, not all of it was great, but compared to the state of rock music today, it was a lot better. These days, most songs all sound the same. But back in the 90s and much more before that, there was more variety in styles. There were, of course bits of time where a lot of songs did sound the same, but even then, they weren't exactly the same. Since about 98 or 99, it's been just a lot of the same beats, same tunes, and sometimes, even the same lyrics (though not completely all the way through.)

No since Limp Bizkit was popular in 1999 but in 2011 nobody bought their new album. Hopefully because people are smarter now.

I don't see bands like Staind and Korn tearing up the billboard charts.
