Recommend me some singer/songwriters and bands similar to...

As I get older I notice my music tastes getting more mellow, although I do still have a very vast music taste and enjoy all kinds of genres. In recent years I've been gravitating towards acoustic/mellow singer/songwriters/bands. It doesn't have to be too mellow, just a good vibe.

I know I can get the recommended artists from amazon, etc. but wanted to ask the music talkers since you guys have introduced me to some great artists like Mishka, Porcupine Tree, just to name a couple. So, bring it, any and all recommedations are appreicated. It can be fairly new/recent music, an old artist that just might have fell under the radar (i.e. Nick Drake), or a soundtrack with artists that have a solid vibe. Even if the artist is well known, don't be afraid to mention them. Now to the list:

Joshua Radin
Patrick Park
William Fitzsimmons
The Weepies
Mat Kearney
The Cary Brothers
Josh Kelley
Jason Reeves
Matt Costa
Howie Day
Amos Lee
Ray Lamontagne
The Perishers
City and Colour
Jack Johnson

I'll leave the list at that for now. Also, doesn't have to just be singer/songwriters, it can be bands with a good vibe like Youth Group, Band of Horses, I know they aren't really mellow/acoustic, so maybe that's another thread all together.

Anyway, let the recommedations flow, thanks in advance.

Some off the top of my head (probably will have some to add later when I have more time to think about it but these are 3 guys that I'm listening to now):

Matthew Ryan:

Agreed, had shots of tequila with Sean Kelly back when he did a solo acoustic show at one of the dorms at school. I love them, been listening since my brother got self titled when they were still with Arista records. I don't like festivals but might have to go to Mile High just to see them with the original line up again. Btw, love "who am I" especially the live version on the transmissions album.

Heard of Nathanson and have some of his stuff, but will definitely check out the other two. ETA, really like Bob Schneider, solid stuff thanks.

Sean Kelly is such a nice guy... I've met him a few times at some shows... in fact that live version of "Who Am I" that you mention is also my favorite, and in fact was the song my wife and I danced to 1st at our wedding. When Sean Kelly found out about it thru some friends of ours, he sang it right to us... it was amazing.

Sweet, yeah Sean is good people. And love that verse in Who Am I..."living up to every diamond in her ring". That's cool that he found out and sang it for you guys, he definitely appreciates the fans. I've met them at numerous shows and they're probably one of my top ten bands ever, have all their albums, seen them more times than I can count. The definitely never got the attention they deserved.

Thanks, have/heard of some of those, but I'll definitely check out the others. Harper is amazing ofcourse and only have a couple tracks of Ben Folds, good album/place to start with him? I love his song "the luckiest". Also, really like Toad the wet sprocket and like a lot of Glen Phillips solo stuff and the album he did with Nickel Creek called Mutual Admiration Society.

Hm, heard of Johnston and Sexsmith, but don't have any of their stuff or the others, so thanks.

I need to check out Ritter more, heard some of his stuff. I have all the others and just discovered Mumford & Sons from my cousin who was studying abroad in England, have to say they have really grown into one of my favorites.

No, I picked mostly some of the lesser known artists, but my favorites for that list. I highly recommend everybody on that list to check out as well as the suggestions by others.
