This is the funniest video I have ever seen. My favorite part is when he is "walking" through the forest

That looks like some "We can make you look like a rock star!" video package from some strip mall video store. They tape him and insert him into a pre-filmed package that has the girl and settings already in it.

I know we're a little out of season but with midgets and chihuahuas, how can you lose?

BTW, if you like this, its also worth checking out the NSFW video of "The Ding Dong Song" and the equally amazing "Tutti Frutti Summer Love."

Can't decide if it's bad or amazing.

Besides the obvious (Color Me Badd, Milli Vanilli, Vanilla Ice, Rico Suave, etc), what are some other lesser known acts/singers that you think are equally bad and laughable? I'd like to nominate Army of Lovers. Who clearly tried to ride on Dead or Alive's (Pete Burns) skirt tails:

I didn't click the link but if that's for the video of Crucified then I'll have you know that Ghost did an awesome cover of that song.

Re: The most laughably bad musical acts/singers ever
To me, what's far worse than trying hard and failing (as most of the videos here do) is blatant inauthenticity and lowest-common-denominator bloodlessness. At least the people here have some semblance of a vision of what they're trying to do, albeit they're failing at it miserably.
Along those lines, this is the type of music my gym insists on playing:
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ZyjQFdeFox8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
<iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/AWGqoCNbsvM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
<iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/qi7Yh16dA0w" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/kVpv8-5XWOI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
All of these are famous songs to varying degrees, but all represent to me that which is most vile in music: transparently pandering sentimentality, Target commercial-worthy hooks borrowed from a thousand other better songs, strummy-strummy ukeleles, cutesy vocal inflections, aggressively stupid lyrics (have you ever read the lyrics to "Hey Soul Sister"?), aggravating "folksy"/"homey" little touches in the arrangement and an absolute refusal to mean anything real to anyone ever.
Don't get me wrong, I agree that not everything has to be great art. Dumb pop for its own sake can be fantastic. However, that doesn't excuse making such blatantly awful pablum for people who have the emotional depth of a carrot but think that they are in fact "romantics". The problem with these songs is that they sound like they're trying to be more than dumb pop songs, but they're in fact blatant shills made by soulless corporate suits grinding a "pop song for soccer moms algorithm" in a supercomputer. The pretension and the fakeness is grating.
It doesn't help that this is apparently not Muzak at my gym, my wife asked and has discovered that this is a mix someone created 6 years ago. Someone bought the Dawson's Creek OST and just loved it and felt the need to share this love with everyone, forever and ever. This hellish compilation has been played on repeat ever since, the better to more fully enjoy these earworm shitfests. Every dumb couplet, every "happy little" handclap, every jangly/bouncy little chorus sung in a little girl voice hammered home until you feel like ripping the speaker out of the wall. Try to benchpress while listening to Train (any Train song will do), I dare you.

I generally espouse nonviolence and overall musical tolerance, but I think I'm just stating an objective fact that the Train guy should be punched in the face.

Possibly the most pretentious video of all time. Get on with the song already!
She's is like a twelve year old who just discovered profanity. Enough with the potty talk. It makes your songs sound like gimmicks, and since that's exactly what they are you'd think she wouldn't want to draw attention to that fact.
Also, isn't she Swedish? This chick is souring me on European chicks. Is this what they're all like now?

Sorry but Color Me Badd does not belong on this list. Their debut album was great in the early 90's.

I think she is from Sweden so maybe she thinks that stuff is cool and plays in America?
She co-wrote "Love Me Like You Do" the Ellie Goulding song from 50 Shades of Grey.

Attack! Attack! had it's own thread at one point. Their video is still a classic.

What's funny is that the further we get from 2008, the more reasonable the argument that all pop music from this era sounded like this.
