Re: Post a random song you deeply love, & try someone else's.
So now that this thread has died a bit, has anyone here bought or downloaded any of the songs posted in this thread? If so what & I'm mostly talking to you all you lurkers, nearly 2,500 views & only 120 posts. Come out of hiding

Somewhere between Mazzy Star, Aimee Mann and The Sundays, are these guys (and girl)...
...sometimes I just dig this type of lazy, haunting stuff.

Very cool thread, I'm listening to some pretty good stuff. Here's one I dig. Got that techno groovy thing going.

Here's another instrumental piece from Mum (kitschy spin on Sigur Ros), entitled Green Grass of Tunnel:

I'm feeling particularly disgruntled lately, this favorite of mine fits somehow:

Wow, wonderful guitar tone.
I've always loved Roland Gift's voice, and this is my favorite single from these guys:

Am I all alone here?
Here's a pulsating classic, alas only with mediocre sound quality:

Re: Post a random song you deeply love, & try someone else's.
People are still posting which is cool, but is anyone actually checking out the songs posted? Nobody has answered my question from several days ago.
Anyway, here is one from my all-time favorite band ever. Remember the rules of the thread, you have to listen to the song all the way through. . .

To answer your previous question, I have ordered a CD by House of Love, a song of whose was posted a few pages back. It was cheap; I don't normally blind-buy.

Youtube muted the audio on the official video, so I'll give this girl her time in the sun. She does a pretty good job on the cover of Kristin Hersh's song "Your Ghost" |

Defeats the purpose of the thread plus it is incredibly narrow minded. It's like saying you can tell you will like any movie 10 minutes into it. Often songs have evolutions to them, I know some of the ones I posted do. And I cannot count the songs over the years that I didn't like at all upon first listen & grew to love them.
