Re: U2 360° North American Tour

Going tomorrow night - anyone know how many people get into the inner circle? Just curious how early I should go to have a shot at it (a few years back I missed being in the heart by like 10 people)

Re: U2 360° North American Tour

I got in at 6:55PM! (night two)

I was all the way on the side...but it was a GREAT view...

(I think most people that come in later, don't realize they can get in the inner circle.)

Re: U2 360° North American Tour

I shot both shows (Night 1 missing 20 seconds of WOWY, Night 2 complete)

Here is the opening of night one. Pretty shaky as everyone was moving and settling, and I was just getting used to the camera. Night 2 was shot from the above pic, and much better since I used a small tripod to hold it.

I'm torn between watching these, and not watching or listening to the boots from the shows before I see them in LA.

Re: U2 360° North American Tour

I was almost in the exact same spot that you were for night 2 in Toronto and the show was phenomenal. I've seen U2 before but this was quite the spectacle and a different vibe than the arena shows I've seen. It's a good thing I went to the their second show, because I would have had to scalp a ticket for the next night if I had gone to the first - it was that good (and I'm broke right now so that would have been a problem). Seeing them at the Skydome (er....Roger's Centre) with the roof open and the CN Tower lit up right there, was pretty remarkable. I have a much shittier camera than you so I won't post my crap photos or shaky low res video...but needless to say I was impressed (which doesn't happen to me at concerts much anymore since I see so many of them).

What time did you get there to get that spot?

Re: U2 360° North American Tour

I got in line at like 4:00pm (line was HUGE with people there as early as the night before) and I'd say up until 7:00pm you probably could have gotten into the inner circle and roughly the same area... after that though, it was wall to wall people.

Re: U2 360° North American Tour

I sort of gave up my ticket to my wife (and her brother/friends) for their Atlanta gig in two weeks. Our toddler won't do babysitters at night and I volunteered to stay home. You know, having seen U2 three times already and knowing half their current set is from the 00's, I don't feel too bad about it. But that stage... damn.

Bummer, the stage and setting is terrific, esp if you get up close (Which is pretty easy)...

I wanted to go to ATL since I will be within driving distance, but I am hitting Raleigh instead which isn't on a work night...

Me too! Though I'll be up in the cheap seats (can't bring myself to pay over $200 for one ticket)....I just wanted to see them, as they are probably the last band I really like that I haven't yet had the pleasure of actually seeing live...

Re: U2 360° North American Tour

For you guys who have been, is the merchandise at the shows (especially tshirts, hoodies, jackets) the same stuff as what is on the official U2 website?

Thanks!

Panasonic DCM-ZS3 digital camera...I love it. Can shoot for 2+ hours on 16gb card in 720P. 12x optical zoom...I have 5 batteries for it. I bought it for these shows, but I have taken it to 4 concerts already and I am completely happy (other than it's a little slow to focus)

Merchandise Pictures...

You don't need to. Eighty percent of the tickets are $55 or $30. I had pretty good seats off to the left of the stage for $95.

Re: U2 360° North American Tour

I'm going and I know it will be a good show, but it is very much a "same old shit" setlist, other than 2 or 3 interesting songs. Kinda wish they were more diverse than that.
